We are delighted to shine the spotlight on our newest USC Associates member, Laura Oswell, a distinguished alumna of the Class of ’99. After earning her degree in business with a minor in international relations, Laura embarked on a remarkable journey that led her to a successful career as a litigator at Sullivan & Cromwell.
Laura’s Trojan Spirit has been a guiding force throughout her life. During law school at Stanford University, she crossed paths with her future husband, David, during a USC-Cal weekender event in San Francisco. Today, they are proud parents of two enthusiastic Trojan fans, ages 9 and 12.
Having experienced the transformative power of education firsthand, Laura recognizes the pivotal role that scholarships play in enabling deserving students to pursue their academic dreams. Grateful for the academic scholarship that made her USC education possible, Laura has been a dedicated supporter of various university programs over the years. Joining USC Associates marks a significant step in Laura’s philanthropic journey. Her commitment to giving back extends beyond monetary support; as a former participant in USC Associates Football Picnics, she appreciates the value of fostering a strong community among members. Laura’s aspiration to contribute at a higher level has materialized, and she is thrilled to be an integral part of USC Associates.
Laura’s belief in the USC philosophy and her pride in the university’s growth and excellence since her graduation underscore her dedication. She is particularly impressed by the flexibility of the USC Associates program, allowing donors to direct their contributions to areas that resonate most with them.
In line with her passion for empowering future leaders, Laura has chosen to support students in the USC Marshall School of Business and the USC Dornsife International Relations program. Her enthusiasm for making a lasting impact aligns seamlessly with the mission of USC Associates, and we are honored to welcome her into our devoted community of Trojans.
