Social Justice

USC is located within one of the most diverse, dynamic and exciting communities in the world. In our neighborhood, more than 90 languages are spoken, 85% of residents are from under-represented groups, 20% live below the federal poverty level, and 57% of adults did not complete high school. As such, the university carries a special responsibility to understand and positively impact issues related to inequities in education, healthcare, housing, food security and more. By partnering with our neighbors, educating our students to be compassionate and constructive citizens, and leveraging our research strengths, USC works every day to create a just and equitable society for all.
