Signature Events and Reunions Team
USC Alumni Association
Behind every signature USC Alumni Association gathering — Alumni Weekend, Homecoming, Trojan Huddles, Welcome ReSCeptions, the Alumni Leadership Conference, Volunteer Recognition Dinner and Game Watch Parties— are two teams working together and in collaboration with other campus partners to create experiences that build pride, connections and Trojan spirit.
The USC Alumni Association Signature Events Team of Brooke Becton, Rahma Radwan and Carla Quiroz is the backbone of the association’s signature event operations. They manage the details most alumni never see but always feel, from coordinating registration and venue logistics to ensuring every event runs smoothly. Their collaboration with engagement officers and campus partners brings structure and polish to some of USC’s most complex and meaningful alumni gatherings.
Working right alongside them is the USC Reunions and Engagement Team of Dominique Mendoza and Samantha Laba, who shape the programming that makes these events memorable. From class-specific celebrations to faculty presentations and volunteer-led moments, they focus on creating content and connections that resonate with alumni and highlight the best of USC.
Growth in Action
Their work also reflects the growth opportunities available in our USC Advancement community. Rahma joined the Alumni Association as an administrative assistant and is now an event coordinator. Samantha started as a graduate assistant while earning her master’s degree, and is now a reunions and engagement manager. Dominique advanced from graduate intern to director, and Ashley Bonanno-Curley has progressed from assistant director to associate director, director, senior director and now executive director of alumni experience during her eight years at the Association. Their journeys demonstrate that professional development is not just possible at USC — it’s happening.
Together, these colleagues demonstrate what collaboration looks like in action. “Our Events and Reunions teams make the Trojan Family experience come alive,” Ashley shares. “I’m so proud of how they create moments that not only celebrate USC traditions, but also build lasting connections among our alumni.”
And it doesn’t stop here. This fall, these teams will be supporting the Alumni Association’s expanded efforts to launch regional networks in Chicago, Denver, Washington, D.C., New York City, Seattle, Portland, San Diego, and the San Francisco Bay area.
The next time you see the members of these teams, let them know you appreciate the work they are doing to engage and steward our alumni. Fight On!
