Looking Forward to a Year of Support for Students, Scholarships and More
Dear Members,
Happy New Year! It was terrific seeing so many of you last fall at our Football Picnics, the Night at the Lab event with Dr. Peter Kuhn, and the USC Alumni Association’s Centennial Celebration.
This year, under the leadership of Executive Director Nancy Dreier and her team, Associates events will focus on scholarship and student support, frontiers of computing, faculty research, health, sustainability, and the arts. I’m confident you’ll be inspired by our presenters and participants.
Jumping right into 2024, I hope you will join me on Wednesday, January 24, for a special reception with the bright and talented USC Associates Student Scholarship recipients. Later in the spring, we’ll be celebrating arts and culture with a tour of the new home of the USC School of Dramatic Arts and a performance by students of the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance.

Update from the Executive Director
Greetings, Members!
Upon reflection over the past few months, it becomes evident that orchestrating the Associates Football Picnics requires a small village. The Board of Directors provided invaluable input last February, introducing fresh ideas for the 2023 season, and I’m eager to hear their recommendations for 2024. Read more… |

Fall Recap
What a “Night at the Lab”! A tremendous thank you to Dr. Peter Kuhn, Dean’s Professor of Biological Sciences and Professor of Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering, and Urology.
USC Associates learned more about Dr. Kuhn’s fascinating research in early breast cancer detection and the discovery of the PiNK Test. This is only happening at USC. Guests toured Dr. Kuhn’s lab and heard from students getting first-hand research experience. In fact, the experience was so meaningful to one student, he decided to pursue a PhD and continue his work in the lab!
As you might know, 1 in 8 women globally will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and detecting it early is critical for a higher survival rate. Join Dr. Kuhn, his fellow researchers and students at USC on their PiNK Test journey. Check out this summary sheet and use the QR code below to submit your contact information for updates (your information is never shared externally).
If you found Dr. Kuhn inspiring and would like to learn more and/or visit his lab, email us to arrange a meeting. |
